Can you change vehicle skins without changing what other players see?
Closed thread Closed by archiveI've seen some really good-looking vehicle skins in screenshots, but I'm not sure how they work in actual multiplayer matches.
If I install a custom skin locally, does everyone else see it too, or is it only visible on my own screen?
Also, are there differences between custom skins and camouflage unlocked or purchased through the game?

Replies are closedLocal user skins are generally for your own client. Don't assume another player will see the same skin.
That's why screenshots can look different from what you see during a normal match.
Some of the community creations are genuinely impressive. People put a ridiculous amount of effort into these.
Just make sure you follow the game's instructions for user skins and don't replace game files with random downloads.
Does the same apply to aircraft skins?
The details can vary by customization type, so check the instructions for the particular skin and vehicle. Officially supported cosmetics are the safest option if you want something intended for broader visibility.
