What do the different anti-cheat and account restriction messages mean?
Closed thread Closed by archiveI saw a discussion about anti-cheat errors and realized people seem to use the word "ban" for several different things.
If the game refuses to launch because of an anti-cheat error, is that automatically an account ban? And what's the proper route if someone actually receives an account restriction notification?
Would be useful to have a thread explaining the difference.

Check the exact wording first. A technical error and an official account restriction notice shouldn't be treated as interchangeable.
And don't download some random "anti-cheat repair tool" from a comment section. That's asking for trouble.
If the account itself is restricted, use the official support or appeal process. Guessing from a launcher message won't help much.
Would verifying the game files help?
It can help with certain corrupted-file problems, but it won't reverse an actual account restriction. Identify the problem before trying fixes.
